  An article in the Staffordshire Sentinel reports on the 102nd Birthday of Phyllis:-Clean-living Phyllis hits 102 Saturday, January 2, 2010, 09:20 GRAND old lady Phyllis Yoxall has bad news for everyone who overindulged during their New Year celebrations - she says the key to her longevity is clean living! Phyllis, of Hartshill, celebrated her 102nd birthday yesterday surrounded by friends and family, including two daughters, five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Phyllis, who was born in 1908 in Shelton, went to school in Hartshill and Penkhull. After leaving education at the age of 13, she found work at McElroy's, in Hanley, which later became Lewis's, before taking an administrative role at the railway office in Stoke. Phyllis is well-known around Hartshill as she has run several businesses in the area, including a sweet shop, a cake shop, a wool shop and a hairdresser's.Included in the article is a photo of Phyllis age 17 at Trentham.
